Please Note: A lot of the following logistics information will reference the “Trek Workbook”. This is an online workbook that people who are registered for the trek will get a link to access, and it will contain much of the information on the trek.
|Sign Up for the TBG Treks||Sign-up will go live on Saturday November 10 at 2PM EST, and closes on Wednesday November 14th at 10PM. Capacity is limited, and will be issued on a first come, first served basis.Silicon Valley Trek Sign Up

|Trek Schedule||Trek Schedule posted here. You must attend all trips on your assigned trek. It is important for Columbia’s relationship with the companies, as well as our trip logistics. We will give you breaks to meet with companies and network on all treks.|
|Airfare||You are responsible for airfare and getting to the hotel. We have a self-serve page in our trek workbook where you can find other trek-goers to share rides from the airport to the hotel for both treks. Silicon Valley: Both SFO and SJC are in the vicinity of the hotel. The hotel is 10 min walking from the Palo Alto Caltrain station. Before you book your airfare, consider if you want to go on a weekend trip (see below).|
|Hotel||Silicon Valley: You are responsible for booking your own reservation in our room block at the Sheraton Palo Alto. Please click here to book your room, we’ve secured a special rate of $200/night.Seattle: TBD, stay tuned. We have a self-serve sign up sheet on the trek workbook to help you find a roommate to split the costs with for both treks.|
|Evening Activities||We have a bunch of fun activities scheduled for you (see the deck in 2013 schedule). Some of them, such as the Uncluster Dinner, will require sign up. The sign up will be in the trek workbook.|
|West Coast Weekend Trip||Some groups are interested in traveling on the weekend. We will have a sign up for this in- you guessed it- the trek workbook!|
The following trek logistics are only applicable after Dec 1
|Trip Group Assignments||We have 3 “trip groups” within the trek- they each go to different companies. On Dec 1, we will send out a form for you to preference which trip group you’d like to participate in. Then, we will post the trip lists in the trek workbook.|
|Swaps||If you want to attend a different trip group for a day, you can list a swap with a person in that trip group. These swaps must all be listed in the trek workbook so trip leaders can coordinate. Again, you cannot do this until after Dec 1, when we send out the trip groups list.|
|Trip Updates||We will be using both email and mobile messaging for trip updates while we’re traveling. There will be a section of the trek workbook in which you fill out your contact information so that we can send you updates.|
